This volunteer experience is with Catholic Community Services (CCS) at our Farmworker Center.  Service opportunities will be Wednesday, April 9th, Friday, April 11th and Saturday April 12th at the Mount Vernon Farmworker Center. Volunteers can come on all three days, or they can choose one day.  We will have multiply shifts to accommodate all volunteers. 

On Wednesday, April 9th you will encounter and experience our FWC Art Studio with the children.  Volunteers will assist our Art Teachers & the children.  On Friday April 11th volunteers will assist and encounter our Plaza Comunitaria Basic Literacy & Education program. Volunteers do not need to speak Spanish, but it is helpful.  Instruction will be given for all tutor volunteers.  On Saturday April 12th Volunteers will encounter our Emergency Clothing Closet effort and/or will give a re-fresh to the outside yard and flower beds. During all three days, we need volunteers to prep food and beverages for everyone, too.  Total of 30-40 volunteers needed. We need shift leaders, as well as regular volunteers.  

Each experience will include encounter time for conversation, breaking bread together and learning about the special FWC programs & our community.  CCS will provide any supplies, food. and beverages.
