What should we bring?:
Much of this conference will happen outside, so please come prepared for Northwest weather conditions.
- Bring an outdoor chair or blanket
- Sun hat
- Fleece jackets
- Warm hat
- Extra layers
We’re saying prayers for beautiful weather, but this is Western WA.
What Masses and prayer time will be included?:
The conference will include daily Mass, prayer & Rosary, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, a Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and opportunities for Confession.
Consider spending a holy hour in front of the Blessed Sacrament in the church Friday night through Saturday morning. Adoration will be available for all.
Check out our Schedule of Events page for an idea of what to expect.
Are there special activites for children?:
We want this conference to be enjoyed by all families as families...we welcome all ages! We will not have a nursery or kid drop-off area, but we are making plans to help parents and grandparents comfortably enjoy the conference with their wee ones.
There is a separate youth track with sessions to include speaker topics geared towards the youth, hands on activities, and games with friends. We want all members of the family engaged for the weekend. Check out the Schedule of Events page!
There will be a tot tent available for infants, toddlers, and young children. The covered play area and outdoor sound system enables parents to hear the presentations, enjoy the lawn, & enjoy their children (noise and all). The area includes a changing table, toys, books, and activities. Feel free to bring your own little toys or quiet, educational activities, but please no noisy toys.
Each of the talks is one hour with breaks in between. Use break time to explore the grounds, enjoy games on the lawn (bring balls, kites, and games), walk the outdoor rosary path, soak in the artwork throughout the church, and enjoy the beautiful weather we’re saying prayers for. It is weekend time!
If you have suggestions about making this event more family-friendly, please let us know...parents of wee ones are on the organizing committee, and we’re planning on enjoying this event with our little kiddos, too.
Who should attend?
This is a family event - we want your family! And bring family friends, too. Let's strengthen and build up our Catholic community together.
If you are a father, mother, daughter, son, uncle, aunt, grandmother, grandfather, grandchild, brother, or sister this conference is for you. If you are single, married, a young adult, a not-so-young adult, a college student, (or not), there will be something for you. If you are Catholic, a fallen-away Catholic, a Protestant, an agnostic, someone just in search of Truth from any religious background (or none at all), please know you are welcome. As a member of the Family of God we all have a place in this Catholic Family Weekend.
What can I Expect?
Families of all sizes and ages come to rejuvinate their faith. Expect to hear insighful and Christ-filled talks, be surrounded by warm fellowship, a beautiful and relaxing environment, and others honestly seeking to do the will of God. Come to be encouraged and inspired.
